At Albany, we have recently implemented OPAL Play, which we are very excited about!

OPAL stands for Outdoor Learning and Play - something that is very important to us. Every child deserves high quality play each and every day, to develop their communication and language; physical development and personal, social and emotional health. This is what we aim to provide through the OPAL programme and through daily playtimes and lunchtimes. By providing high-quality interactions and resources in safe and stimulating environments, our pupils will achieve their potential and be ready to learn when they return to their classrooms. We celebrate each and every child and each of the 16 play types. 

Although we are at the start of our OPAL journey, staff, pupils and families are fully immersed and engaged. Together, we have created our Albany Play Charter which encompasses our school vision and values.
