    Safeguarding

At Albany Infant and Nursery School, we recognise our role in keeping our families safe.  We acknowledge our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected, listened to and valued.

We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.

The procedures and practices that we have put in place apply to all staff, volunteers and governors and are consistent with those of Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB).

The Designated Safeguarding Leads at Albany Infant and Nursery School are Ms K O'Neill (Headteacher), Mrs S Hickling (Deputy Headteacher), Miss M Shaw (Class teacher and KS1 Lead). Any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child should be shared with the DSLs who are trained to make sure that any concerns are acted upon as necessary.
